ADT for Groups

Colorado Doula Project’s online Abortion Doula Training (ADT) is an invaluable professional development tool for members of abortion funds, practical support organizations, clinics, or any other workplace that can be elevated by learning how to provide nonjudgmental, compassionate care for anyone having an abortion.
Through this completely online, self-paced training, your team members will have full access to CDP’s wealth of experience and knowledge, which has been adapted, packaged, and delivered to enhance the soft and hard skills of your staff and coworkers where it comes to abortion support.
Developed through an anti-racist and trans-affirming lens by experienced abortion doulas, this course takes around 15-20 hours to complete and features guest speakers who are experts in abortion care, reproductive justice, and gender and sexuality. It includes:
The medical basics of abortion procedures
How to check your biases and clarify your personal values
How to care for people having abortions
How to care for yourself as an abortion doula
Physical support techniques for people having surgical or medical abortions
The disparities in abortion care for people of color and queer and trans people, and how to combat reproductive injustice
and so much more!
This course was crafted to be applicable to anyone, anywhere in the country who supports abortion seekers. From new staff members who are stepping foot in the repro world for the very first time to seasoned pros who have been doing this work for ages, the information provided within the training is vast and deep. Everyone who takes it will walk away having learned something new.
Why should we enroll as a group?
While the content within the Abortion Doula Training is exactly the same no matter how you enroll, all group registrations for eight or more people will include a private ADT course for your team members where you can interact with each other and the CDP facilitator through the discussion section of each module and a 1-hour Zoom Q&A with CDP doulas.
All group enrollments of four or more people are eligible for a significant discount.
Upon completion of the course, graduates will become certified Abortion Doulas (through CDP), have access to the 32-page Abortion Doula Training Manual, and be able to take advantage of the Abortion Doula Support System, in which they can query and receive answers from our experienced doulas in perpetuity.
